I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – your regular yoga students are the life-blood of your yoga business success. Your focus should be on serving them well, but also attracting new yoga students.
Often it’s not only the classes you teach, but the little extras your studio can offer that keeps students coming back and committed to your studio.
When I think back about outstanding yoga class experiences I’ve had, I often remember the fine touches that made the experience memorable. Examples of such “extras” include tea service, being offered a blanket during savasana (placed on me by the instructor), and informing conversations with the yoga instructor.
You could do your yoga business a wonderful service by adding ways to serve your students better. Often extra client service touches cost very little, yet can make a terrific impact on your yoga clientele.
Don’t restrict your thinking to merely satisfying your clients; dream up ways to impress them.
One inexpensive and easy way to surely impress your yoga students is by offering laundered yoga socks to your yoga students.
Sometimes, especially when cold, it’s not so fun doing yoga on a cold floor. Some people who are susceptible to cold may really appreciate the option to wear yoga socks during class.
Other students might not like doing yoga barefoot for sanitation reasons. Perhaps they would prefer wearing something on their feet.
Of course, you’ll have to launder the yoga socks after each class, but it’s a small effort to make if it’s another way to create a memorable and enjoyable yoga experience for your students.
IDEA: Offer Every Student Yoga Socks
Yoga socks are designed with non-slip grip and are relatively inexpensive ($15.99 per pair). You could order a few pairs to see if people are interested.
Another way to find out if people are interested is to simply e-mail them and ask – or ask them in class. I suspect there will be interest.
I like yoga socks that offer five-toe flexibility for greater foot dexterity.
